Requirements

Admission Requirements: Admission requires a two-year or greater diploma or degree from an accredited college or university in computer science and/or software engineering, or two to five years of related full-time formal work experience in software development. Rather than a fixed minimum average, Conestoga ranks applicants by an assessment of academic performance, length and level of the prior credential, and its discipline; the programme also asks for a resume outlining work experience and career goals. A minimum overall 80% session-weighted average in Level 1 with no dropped or failed courses is required specifically for consideration for the optional co-op stream. Applicants whose prior instruction was not in English must demonstrate proficiency, and non-Canadian transcripts require a course-by-course credential evaluation, though no specific IELTS, TOEFL, PTE or similar score is published on this page.

Application Details

Application Deadline: Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca (college code CONS): for the Fall 2027 intake the online application opens 26 September 2026, the equal consideration date is 1 February 2027, offers may be issued from 1 November 2026, and accepted offers must be confirmed by 1 May 2027; most oversubscribed programs stop accepting applications after 1 February 2027, though many programs remain open afterward. Conestoga does not publish a separate equal-consideration date for its January intake. International applicants apply directly to Conestoga and are assessed on a rolling, first-come, first-served basis until each program fills; no fixed international closing date is published. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
