Applied Artificial Intelligence & Information Technology Graduate Certificate

The Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Artificial Intelligence & Information Technology is offered at Trent University's Durham GTA campus to graduates who hold an undergraduate degree from an accredited university; prior experience or familiarity with computer programming or technology is recommended given the program's technical content. The program covers fundamental concepts and methodologies in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and human-computer interaction, their applications in areas such as information systems and analysis, and the history, social and political impacts, ethics, privacy, bias, and limitations of AI. The certificate consists of 4.5 credits: 2.5 credits in Applied Artificial Intelligence (AIST) and 2.0 credits in Computing & Information Systems (COIS). A minimum cumulative average of 60% is required to graduate with the certificate. The program is available full-time to domestic and international students and part-time to domestic students only. Students who hold a Trent University undergraduate degree may apply up to 1.0 credit from that degree toward the certificate, and up to 1.0 credit may be applied toward an additional postgraduate certificate program.
