Overview
The demand for environmental specialists who can develop creative solutions to ever-evolving concerns facing our environment today continues to grow both in Canada and abroad. This graduate certificate program meets the demand for trained environmental professionals in the areas of contaminated site clean-up, risk assessment, environmental monitoring, regulatory compliance and enforcement. If you're a qualified college or university graduate, this program enhances existing technical skills and competencies necessary for employment in the environmental workforce.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission requires either an undergraduate university degree in engineering (civil, chemical, geological or environmental), earth sciences, general science, environmental science, chemistry, microbiology, biology, environmental studies, or planning, or a three-year diploma from an Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology in civil, environmental, chemical, or architectural/construction engineering technology. Selection weighs academic performance, and the length and discipline of the prior degree or diploma, with preference given to applicants who have completed a post-secondary chemistry course. The programme page defers English-proficiency evidence to Conestoga's institution-wide scale, and as a postgraduate certificate the college's higher exception tier applies: IELTS Academic overall 6.5 with no band under 6.0, TOEFL iBT 88 with no skill under 22, PTE Academic 58, CAEL 70 with writing at least 60, or Duolingo English Test 120. Applicants also need a device meeting the college's technology standard, basic Windows/MS Office skills, and reliable internet access.

Conestoga does not publish a separate equal-consideration date for its January intake. International applicants apply directly to Conestoga and are assessed on a rolling, first-come, first-served basis until each program fills; no fixed international closing date is published. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
