PGCert in Technical Communication (Optional Co-op)

Technical Communication is a one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate delivered full-time at Conestoga's Waterloo campus, with an optional co-op term. The program prepares graduates to translate complex technical information into clear, accessible content for software, hardware and digital-innovation audiences, covering technical writing, editing and information design for digital platforms. Students gain hands-on experience with industry-standard authoring tools, including access to Adobe's Technical Communication Suite, and learn to create and manage content for websites, manuals, applications and other digital platforms with an emphasis on accuracy, usability and clear design. Coursework also covers visual communication and illustration for technical documentation, and strategies for collaborating with developers, engineers and design teams. The optional co-op term allows students to apply these skills in a professional setting alongside technical staff.
