Diploma in Psychology

Psychology is a two-year pre-university profile leading to a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in Social Science at Dawson College. The program focuses on human behaviour and the mental, social, and cultural processes that shape how people think, act, and feel. Coursework spans psychology, sociology, biology, and philosophy and religion, combining the discipline-specific study of psychology with the broader Social Science curriculum. The profile is designed for students planning to continue into university programs in psychology or related behavioural and social-science fields. Graduates receive Profile 300.GP of the DEC in Social Science and are prepared for direct entry into undergraduate psychology programs. The program is delivered over four academic semesters of full-time study at Dawson College, with applications accepted for both fall and winter entry.
