Overview
Today's web development professional requires modern, expert technical knowledge to build online sites and applications that are intuitive, functional, accessible and attractive. In this two-year Ontario College Diploma, you will graduate as a professional full-stack developer by learning all of the latest web standards using the most advanced software in the industry. You’ll also learn to work effectively in web agency team scenarios, study online marketing and learn entrepreneurship strategies for a new business start-up and/or freelance operation.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, or mature-applicant status with Grade 12 English (C or U) and Grade 11 or 12 Math (C, M or U). Applicants who do not meet these are directed to academic upgrading, with a conditional offer possible on proof of enrolment. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet Fanshawe's published scale: IELTS Academic overall 6.0 with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT overall 4.5 with no band below 4 (79 under the pre-2026 scale), PTE Academic 53 (minimum 45), CAEL overall 60 (minimum 50, listening 80), Cambridge English 169 (minimum 162 per skill), Duolingo overall 105 (minimum 95), LanguageCert Academic overall 65 (minimum 60), or Fanshawe ESL4/GAP5 80%/75%/70% at Levels 8/9/10. International admission equivalencies are assessed by country of study on Fanshawe's own equivalencies tool.

Application Deadline:Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for Fall 2027 entry, applications open in early October 2026 and the equal-consideration date is 1 February 2027, after which later applications are assessed on a first-come basis until seats fill; non-competitive programs begin receiving offers from 1 November 2026, competitive-program offers go out by 30 March 2027, and 1 May 2027 is the usual deadline to accept an offer. International applicants apply directly to Fanshawe (CAD 100 fee) and face fixed document deadlines rather than a single closing date: for the current intakes, study-permit and conditions-met documents are due 10/15 August 2026 (Fall), 9/15 December 2026 (Winter) and 5/15 April 2027 (Summer); missing a deadline can mean deferral to the next intake. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
