Overview
The Indigenous Perspectives Designation (IPD) is an option available to students in this program. To qualify for an IPD, you must take and successfully complete a series of required Indigenous Studies courses as well as participate in a minimum of four approved co-curricular Indigenous events or experiences. Your transcript will indicate the IPD upon graduation, a designation that provides you with a comprehensive understanding of Indigenous cultures, histories, traditions, and contributions to our shared society within the context of your program of study. The IPD provides a valuable skill set sought after in today's employment sector.

Admission Requirements: Academic prerequisites are Grade 12 College (C) English, Grade 12 College (C) Mathematics, Grade 11 University (U) or Grade 12 College (C) Chemistry, and Grade 11 College (C) Biology; Grade 12 C courses are accepted where a Grade 11 C course is listed. Language proficiency must meet the NAPRA Language Proficiency Requirements for Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in Canada, demonstrated by an approved test score, by graduation from a Canadian high school with three consecutive first-language English or French credits, by equivalent CEGEP completion in Quebec, or by a four-year undergraduate degree from a Canadian university taught in English or French; Fleming publishes IELTS Academic 7.0 as its own higher tier for this programme. Before placement, students must clear a criminal reference check and provide required immunization and flu/COVID vaccination records; a further professional certification exam (about $3,000) is paid after graduation.
