Overview

We chose Niagara College for many reasons, one being that Niagara College is an accredited college. This is important to us as you need this credential in order to become a regulated pharmacy technician in Ontario. Our overall experience at Niagara College has exceeded our expectations. Throughout our experience at Niagara College the faculty and services offered here have helped us accomplish our academic goals. The overall experience and education obtained has given us a great opportunity to expand in our future career.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Domestic: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, including English – any Grade 12 (C) or (U); Mathematics – any Grade 12 (C) or (U); Biology – Grade 11 (C)/(U) or Grade 12 (U); and Chemistry – Grade 11 (U) or Grade 12 (C)/(U) (or equivalents). Applicants whose first language is not English must meet the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA 2024) Language Proficiency Requirements for Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in Canada: IELTS Academic Reading 7.0, Listening 7.0, Speaking 7.0, Writing 6.5, or OET Reading B, Listening B, Speaking B, Writing C+, completed within two years of the program start date. Application Details

Application Deadline: Niagara College's equal-consideration deadlines apply equally to domestic and international applicants to competitive programs, published for the 2026-2027 cycle: for September 2026 entry the date was 1 February 2026, for January 2027 entry it is 5 June 2026, and for May 2027 entry it is 30 October 2026, each followed roughly three weeks later by a document deadline and an earliest-offer date. All other programs, the majority, are processed first-come, first-served starting each November for both domestic and international applicants, with offers issued until seats fill or the term begins. Niagara does not publish which named programs currently hold competitive status. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
