Program details
Overview
This AEC (attestation d'études collégiales) programme trains competent staff for process-operation roles in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Coursework prepares graduates for fabrication and conditioning (packaging) technician or operator roles, execution of validation protocols, fabrication or conditioning inspection, line-chief duties, and sampling. The programme runs 13 months in hybrid format, combining two weekday evenings per week with several Saturday sessions. It targets candidates with an interest in the field who already have experience in it and want a recognized collegial-level credential, and expects both technical competencies and the interpersonal skills needed to integrate into a manufacturing team. Admission requires training judged sufficient by the cégep along with an interruption of full-time studies of at least two consecutive sessions or one school year, or an equivalent condition. Particular conditions call for a minimum of two years of manufacturing-sector experience and successful completion of Secondary IV physical science. Graduates work across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, cosmetics, natural-health-product, and animal-health industries.

Admission Requirements: Open to candidates whose training is judged sufficient by the cégep and who have interrupted full-time studies for at least two consecutive sessions or one school year, are covered by a cégep-employer agreement or government programme, or have completed at least one year of postsecondary studies.
