Overview

The advanced diploma builds insight into what is involved in designing and constructing energy-efficient building environmental systems, then controlling and maintaining them once in operation. Training spans this full process, from system design and construction through to ongoing control and upkeep.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Entry requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including Grade 12 English at the C or U level and Grade 11 Math (M or U) or Grade 12 Math (C or U). Applicants 19 or older without an OSSD may apply as mature students and sit George Brown's Admissions Assessment for English and Math, or upgrade to obtain the needed credit. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission, and applicants may need grades above the stated minimum given competitive demand. College or university credits may qualify for course exemptions through the Transfer Guide. International applicants should consult George Brown's International Admissions page for country-specific academic and English-proficiency requirements, since this page does not itself publish IELTS or TOEFL score bands.
