Overview
Criminology Intervention is a three-year intensive professional DEC training students across an interdisciplinary curriculum spanning psychology, social work, and criminology. The program page describes practice-oriented, intervention-focused coursework paired with two fieldwork placements totalling more than 700 hours, giving students direct experience working with either youth or adult client groups. Admission is competitive: the program receives over 120 applications a year for around 40 places, so above-average results improve an application's chances. English is John Abbott's language of instruction; the College does not publish a separate IELTS/TOEFL minimum for general admission, and international applicants' academic credentials are instead assessed against their own country of study through SRAM's international admission service. Canadian citizens, landed immigrants and international students are all eligible, but a criminal record may restrict fieldwork placements and a Certificate of Good Conduct can be required before a stage.
