Overview
The Human Resource Management (HRM) Diploma at Keyano College's Clearwater Campus prepares graduates for supervisory-level careers in organizational human resource management. Over two years and four terms, students are exposed to HRM-specific topics such as human resource management methods, industrial relations, strategic staffing, occupational health and safety, training and development, human resources analytics, strategic compensation and benefits, and negotiation and conflict resolution, alongside general business topics including business communications, business law and organizational behaviour. The program is aligned with the competencies of Chartered Professionals in Human Resources of Alberta (CPHR); graduates who achieve a 70% or higher overall grade in a CPHR-accredited program have the National Knowledge Exam requirement waived. The program concludes with a Human Resource Management Capstone or a Work Integrated Learning placement. Admission requires a high school diploma or equivalent with English 30-1 (minimum 60%) or English 30-2 (minimum 65%), and Math 30-1 or Math 30-2 (minimum 55%); mature applicants aged 21 or older may qualify via the same coursework or the College Entrance Assessment.

Mature students (21 or older) may be admitted by completing the above English and Math courses with the specified grades, or by achieving a pass mark on the College Entrance Assessment. Applicants must also meet Keyano College's English Language Proficiency requirement (TOEFL iBT 79 with no score below 19, IELTS Academic 6.0, CAEL 60, MELAB 80, Duolingo English Test 95, or PTE Academic 50).
