Business Administration - Human Resource Management is a two-year diploma combining a common first-year business curriculum with second-year specialization in human resources. The first year builds foundational core business knowledge; the second year focuses on recruitment, governance, labour relations, employee retention and engagement, and current HR issues and strategies, using mock interviews, mediation, arbitration, conflict resolution and negotiation exercises alongside study of organizational change, workplace diversity, employment law and contract negotiations. Graduates are able to estimate, forecast and plan an organization's human resource needs, recruit talent, and assess the risks and benefits of HR plans. Instruction combines classroom teaching, industry-relevant casework, simulations and networking. Intakes run in Fall, Winter and Spring. The program is delivered through a mix of scheduled classroom, lab and case-work sessions alongside student self-directed learning.
