The Hairstyling Certificate is a one-year, 10-month program that covers all of the required Alberta apprenticeship technical training for the hairstyling trade. Students learn cutting, barbering, styling, colouring, and texturing, along with hair extension application and the business fundamentals of running a salon. Training combines classroom and lab instruction with practical work in Lakeland's on-campus hair salon, where students serve real clients under instructor supervision. The program is delivered face-to-face at Lakeland's Lloydminster campus. Graduates leave with industry-recommended, job-ready skills for entry into the hairstyling trade and a foundation for further apprenticeship progression.
