Overview
Bartending at Conestoga is an intensive 14-week Ontario College Certificate taught in person at the Waterloo campus in a purpose-built mixology lab. Training mixes hands-on practice with theory across cocktail artistry, wine, beer and spirits, plus the professional and bar-management skills hospitality employers expect. An immersive field placement with one of the college's industry partners lets students apply their skills in a working venue before graduating.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or mature-student status at 19 years of age or older. Mature applicants must additionally satisfy the English requirement by successfully completing equivalency testing in English or by completing a program of academic upgrading appropriate to Bartending. The programme page states no institution test score of its own; Conestoga's general policy requires transcripts from institutions where instruction was not in English to be accompanied by evidence of English language proficiency, assessed against the college's published diploma-level minimum — IELTS Academic 6.0 overall with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT 80 with no skill below 20, PTE Academic 53, or Duolingo 110 — since Conestoga does not publish a separate domestic table. Final selection is made following an assessment of all stated admission requirements; prior learning assessment (PLAR) and credit transfer are available for applicants with relevant post-secondary study.

Conestoga does not publish a separate equal-consideration date for its January intake. International applicants apply directly to Conestoga and are assessed on a rolling, first-come, first-served basis until each program fills; no fixed international closing date is published. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
