Diploma in Online Early Childhood Education

Online Early Childhood Education is delivered in an online asynchronous format and is available as a Certificate (Year 1) and a Diploma (Year 2), with certificate completion required before diploma eligibility. The program totals 40 to 80 credits and combines coursework in early learning and child development with field placements. Students may apply to start in Fall, Winter, or Spring term, though completing the entire program on a full-time basis requires a Fall start. Admitted students complete a criminal record check with vulnerable sector check and may be required to hold a current First Aid in Childcare Certificate. Transfer credit agreements exist with several Alberta universities for graduates continuing into further study.
