Overview
The Game Design Diploma at LaSalle College Vancouver is a 12-month, on-campus program covering game design fundamentals, including level design, game mechanics, scripting basics, world-building, storytelling, and prototyping. The program has been ranked number one in Canada by The Princeton Review for more than a decade. Instruction is delivered by industry professionals working in game design, 3D modelling, and interactive media, using industry-standard software and production techniques. Through project-based coursework covering scripting, level design, and game history, students create playable game levels and design documents while building a portfolio reflecting studio expectations. Graduates are prepared for entry-level roles in game design, level design, quality assurance, and interactive media within the gaming and digital entertainment sectors. The program is not eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).

Admission Requirements: Domestic applicants generally require proof of secondary school graduation or equivalent and a copy of government-issued photo ID.
