Overview

The Master of Arts (M.A.) in Teaching and Learning (Non-Thesis) is offered by the Department of Integrated Studies in Education in the Faculty of Education. Students choose one of six options: English Language Arts, English as a Second Language, Science and Technology, Social Sciences, Teaching English or French as a Second Language, or Mathematics. The program combines coursework with two school-based internships and leads to Quebec teacher certification for holders of an undergraduate degree in a teachable subject area recognized by the Quebec Ministry of Education. Admission requires an eligible bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA (out of 4.0), IELTS 7.0 overall with 7.0 in writing, or TOEFL 92 overall with 22 in writing. The program admits students in the Summer term.
