Admission Requirements: Speech-Language Pathology admits from a four-year baccalaureate degree (120 units, or equivalent) in any discipline, plus four prerequisite courses each completed at a minimum grade of B (3.0/4.0, ORPAS scale): Linguistics covering the perceptual and psycholinguistic basis of speech, language and hearing; a second-year or higher Psychology course; a Human Anatomy/Physiology course covering the systems used in speaking, hearing, breathing and swallowing; and a Statistics or Research Methods course. Ranking uses a sub-GPA over the last two years or 60 units of study, with a minimum of 3.3/4.0 (B+, 77%). Applicants whose first language is not English, and whose degree was not completed entirely in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia or New Zealand, must submit TOEFL iBT scores (the only accepted test) of at least 100 overall, with component minimums of 24 (Reading, Listening) and 26 (Speaking, Writing), sent directly from the testing centre and no more than two years old.
