UNENE Nuclear Engineering (MEng)

Admission Requirements: For the part-time M.Eng., a strong baccalaureate degree in engineering, mathematics, or the physical sciences with an average of at least B (equivalent to a McMaster GPA of 8.0) is generally required. For the Graduate Diploma, offered jointly with Ontario Tech University, applicants must similarly hold a baccalaureate degree in engineering, science, or mathematics with an acceptable grade point average; relevant nuclear-industry work experience is given consideration alongside academic standing, and applicants must be deemed, on the basis of education and work experience, prepared to succeed in the program. Both credentials are course-based, delivered part-time in weekend sessions to accommodate working professionals in the nuclear industry, and admission recommendations are made by the Department Chair on the advice of the departmental Graduate Admissions Committee to the School of Graduate Studies.
