Marketing and Design Certificate

The Marketing and Design Certificate is a one-year, stand-alone credential that builds on students' previous academic knowledge in business or a related field. It includes a work-integrated learning course that gives students a hands-on opportunity to apply marketing theory in practice. Coursework covers formulating marketing plans, applying marketing theories, communicating marketing information across multiple formats, and evaluating the impact of marketing strategy on return on investment. Admission requires graduation from a diploma at an accredited post-secondary institution, though the Dean may grant special acceptance based on equivalent work experience, education, or training. Graduation from the certificate requires completing all required courses with a minimum GPA of 2.0. The program runs on a Fall intake at the Medicine Hat campus, preparing graduates for marketing and design roles that combine strategic and creative skills.
