Advanced Accounting Certificate

The Advanced Accounting Certificate builds on prior accounting knowledge and application, serving as a bridge for students pursuing business degree completion or the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. The program consists of eight academic courses plus one work placement, taught by a combination of full-time faculty and community experts, giving students practical exposure alongside coursework. It is intended for graduates of a business administration diploma in accounting or an equivalent credential who want to deepen their technical accounting skills. The certificate runs for one year and offers flexible delivery, including an online learning option, to help students balance study with other commitments. It admits students through a Fall intake at the Medicine Hat campus. Graduates are positioned to continue toward further accounting credentials or advance into accounting roles requiring more advanced technical knowledge than an initial diploma provides.
