Admission Requirements: Admission to the Bachelor of Midwifery requires five Grade 12 courses, including four program-specific subjects at a minimum of 65% each: English Language Arts 30-1, Biology 30, Chemistry 30, and Mathematics 30-1 or 30-2. The program has limited enrolment and admission is highly competitive: beyond academics, every applicant must complete two non-academic assessments through Acuity Insights, a Casper situational-judgment test and a video interview, each carrying its own fee and requiring a separate account under the same email address. Applications open October 1 and close February 1. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet Mount Royal's institutional English Language Proficiency requirement; the university's published standard accepts IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with at least 5.5 per band, TOEFL iBT 86 with at least 20 per section (or 4.5 overall with 4.0 per band on tests from January 21, 2026), PTE Academic 58 with at least 55 per area, CAEL 70 with at least 60 per band, Duolingo English Test 120, or Cambridge C1 Advanced 176. Clinical placements additionally require a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check, proof of current immunization, and personal access to a vehicle, communication technology, and travel funding.
