Overview

I was fortunate enough to have my brother and sister attend Niagara College in the Paramedic Program and they were able to give me a first-hand account of life at Niagara College. My time at Niagara College was spent with instructors who had years of experience in the paramedic field, lab time where I could practice the skills I learned, extra help/material if needed and the opportunity to be placed with an EMS service where it was all brought together in real life. Niagara College made me more than prepared for the “real world” and taught me what I needed to get hired as a paramedic after graduating. I recommend Niagara College to anyone looking to make a positive change in their life.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Domestic: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, including English – any Grade 12 (C) or (U); Biology – Grade 11 (C)/(U) or Grade 12 (U); and Chemistry – Grade 11 (U) or Grade 12 (C)/(U) or Physics – Grade 11 (U) or Grade 12 (C)/(U) (or equivalents). Competitive program: if qualified applicants exceed available seats, selection is based on Ontario residency and the most senior final grade in required courses. International applications are not accepted for this program. Apply through ontariocolleges.ca.

Application Details

Application Deadline: Niagara College's equal-consideration deadlines apply equally to domestic and international applicants to competitive programs, published for the 2026-2027 cycle: for September 2026 entry the date was 1 February 2026, for January 2027 entry it is 5 June 2026, and for May 2027 entry it is 30 October 2026, each followed roughly three weeks later by a document deadline and an earliest-offer date. All other programs, the majority, are processed first-come, first-served starting each November for both domestic and international applicants, with offers issued until seats fill or the term begins. Niagara does not publish which named programs currently hold competitive status. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
