Trades - Apprenticeship in Hairstylist Apprenticeship

The Hairstylist Apprenticeship trains registered apprentices in the technical and artistic skills used in the hairstyling trade. In-school instruction totals 480 hours of college training delivered at Niagara College's Welland campus, combined with paid on-the-job training completed with a sponsoring employer as a registered apprentice. The apprenticeship has an overall delivery length of 2 to 2.5 years and leads to a Certificate of Apprenticeship. Admission requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or Grade 12 equivalency, together with employment in the trade under a registered training agreement. New apprentices can begin their in-school training in the Fall term. The program is designated under Trade Code 332A.
