Construction Engineering Technology is a two-year diploma program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology covering construction management, estimation and technical practices focused on buildings and related industries. Students learn structural engineering fundamentals and drawing interpretation, then develop project planning, coordination and contract administration skills that carry into site leadership and project management. Graduates are prepared for roles such as estimator, contract administrator and project manager, and those with a Journeyperson certification or significant industry experience can pursue leadership roles such as site superintendent. The program's main Fall intake is delivered in a hybrid format on NAIT's main campus; a Winter intake is also offered fully online. Graduates are sought after by construction firms, consulting companies, property developers and government agencies delivering construction projects across Alberta and beyond.
