Overview

Drafting - Architectural is a two-year diploma teaching students to create detailed, accurate technical drawings for residential and commercial buildings in line with industry standards. Coursework covers drafting fundamentals, wood-frame construction, computer-aided design using AutoCAD and SketchUp, Building Information Modelling with Revit, construction principles, sustainable building design and the National Building Code. Students develop a professional portfolio documenting their work over the course of study, preparing graduates for drafting roles supporting architectural and construction firms. The programme begins each September. International applicants must meet document and English-language requirements that vary by country of origin. Program costs such as textbooks and supplies are additional to tuition.
