Field Safety Representative (FSR) Certificate

Admission Requirements: This continuing-education certificate prepares a Red Seal electrician for Technical Safety BC's Field Safety Representative (FSR) examination. Okanagan College's own admission requirement for the course is that the applicant already hold Red Seal Electrician certification; no B.C. secondary-school credential, minimum grade point average, or English-language test score (IELTS, TOEFL or equivalent) is listed, since English ability is assumed through the underlying trade certification. The course itself is self-paced and must be completed within 90 days of enrolment. The FSR designation is awarded only after the college's course is finished and the applicant separately passes Technical Safety BC's own FSR examination, for which exam eligibility and scheduling are confirmed directly with Technical Safety BC rather than with the college. No portfolio, interview or other supporting document is required for admission.
