Overview

The Bachelor of Digital Agriculture is a four-year degree from Olds College of Agriculture & Technology that blends agronomy, technology, data science, business, and leadership. Students build competencies in crop and livestock management, soil and pest management, environmental stewardship, and the operation of precision agriculture equipment. Between the third and fourth year, students complete a four-month, 400-hour industry internship intended to develop leadership, project management, and data-informed decision-making skills, and the fourth year concludes with a capstone project and program synthesis course. Instruction is delivered on campus in Olds, Alberta, with a fall intake, and students are required to bring their own Windows laptop meeting the program's minimum specifications. The program suits students interested in applying data and technology to farming and agribusiness, preparing graduates for entry-level roles such as precision agriculture specialist or digital agronomist, progressing toward mid-level and leadership positions in precision agronomy and agricultural technology management.

Application Deadline: Olds College and its programs apply through ApplyAlberta, for both domestic and international applicants, with a $90 application fee either way. The college publishes no single institution-wide closing date: as of September 2026 applications for the current 2026-27 intake year are open, and applications for the 2027-28 intake year (Fall 2027 entry) open 1 October 2026 at 9 a.m., after which seats fill on a rolling, space-available basis up to each program's start date.
