This program is a concurrent admission pathway that lets students pursue advanced admission consideration for the Bachelor of Education (BEd) alongside a four-year undergraduate degree at Ontario Tech, delivered in-class at the North Oshawa campus. Students apply directly to their chosen undergraduate program through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre and select the Concurrent option, available for Fall and Winter intakes only. A Primary/Junior stream is open within most undergraduate programs, while an Intermediate/Senior stream is limited to the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, most Faculty of Health Sciences programs, and the Faculty of Science. Concurrent offer holders must maintain a minimum 3.70 cumulative GPA from year three onward and complete their undergraduate degree before beginning the BEd, which starts each September. The BEd credential leads to Ontario College of Teachers certification to teach Primary/Junior (Kindergarten to Grade 6) or Intermediate/Senior (Grade 7 to Grade 12) divisions.
