This is a consecutive Bachelor of Education program for the Intermediate/Senior division (grades 7 to 12), intended for students who already hold an undergraduate degree. Candidates apply with two teachable subjects: at least ten one-semester courses in a first teachable subject and at least six one-semester courses in a second, selected from biology, chemistry or physics, English, general science, health and physical education, history, and mathematics (some subject combinations are not offered). The program is delivered in-class at the Downtown Oshawa campus over 12 consecutive months beginning in May, and combines coursework with internship and practicum placements in schools. It covers digital-age learning design, online and digital instruction, and extended study in areas such as Indigenous approaches to education, mental health, environmental and sustainability education, and equity, diversity and inclusion, preparing graduates for certification as Intermediate/Senior teachers.
