The Master of Science (MSc) in Applied Bioscience trains students as researchers at the interface between chemistry and biology, through coursework combined with a research thesis. Students choose one of four interdisciplinary fields: Biomolecular Science, Ecosystem Health, Forensic Bioscience, or Human Health Biology, and work under a faculty research supervisor on an original thesis project. The program is delivered in-class at Ontario Tech University and takes approximately 24 months to complete on a full-time basis, with September, January or May start dates. Admission requires a four-year honours undergraduate degree in biology, chemistry or a related field, or its equivalent, and depends on the availability of a research supervisor willing to take on the applicant. Graduates are prepared for research careers in bioscience across academic, government and industry settings, building on interdisciplinary training that spans molecular science, ecosystem health, forensics and human health.
