The Electrical and Computer Engineering programs at Ontario Tech University offer a Master of Applied Science (MASc) and a Master of Engineering (MEng) option, covering areas including electronics, intelligent systems, communications, control, biomedical engineering, power electronics, power generation, software engineering, mobile systems and embedded software systems. The MASc combines coursework, supervised research, a research seminar and a research thesis. The MEng offers a course-based option of 10 courses (30 credits) or a project-based option of 8 courses (24 credits) plus a 6-credit project. Both are delivered in-class at Ontario Tech University. The MASc runs approximately 24 months full-time with September, January or May starts, while the MEng runs approximately 16 months full-time with September or January starts. Admission to either option requires a four-year honours undergraduate engineering degree from an accredited program, or its equivalent, with a minimum B average.

Admission Requirements: Hold a four-year honours undergraduate engineering degree in a relevant field from an accredited engineering program at a Canadian university, or its equivalent from a recognized institution. Minimum overall academic standing of a B (GPA: 3.0 on a 4.3 scale, or 73 to 76 per cent), with a minimum B in the last two full-time years (four semesters) of undergraduate work or equivalent.
