Overview
Application Development and Delivery at Red River College Polytechnic prepares students for the full software development life cycle, including design, building, testing, deployment, and maintenance of applications that solve business problems. The two-year-plus-co-op (28-month) diploma covers agile development practices, collaboration tools, user-experience design, cloud platforms, containerization and orchestration, CI/CD automation, and IT service management. Delivery is hybrid, with most classes held online early in the week and on campus later in the week, and a fully online option is available for students living outside Winnipeg. The program is based at the Exchange District Campus and includes a mandatory work-integrated learning term (co-op or industry project). Graduates are prepared for roles such as software or application developer, front-end or back-end developer, full-stack developer, or DevOps engineer, and the program leads to a diploma credential.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Applicants must submit proof of graduation from or enrolment in Grade 12, with final grades due by July 15 for fall enrolment if applying with proof of enrolment. English language requirements are met by three years of full-time secondary education in Canada, the United States, or an ELR-exempt country where English was the language of instruction, or by an approved English language assessment. Mature applicants aged 19 or older who have been out of high school for at least one year may qualify with Grade 12 English (40S) and Grade 12 Math (40S) — the math requirement is waived until March 31, 2027 — or by completing RRC's Introduction to Business program with a minimum GPA of 2.0, in addition to meeting the regular English language requirements.
