Overview
Mathematics is a Bachelor of Science degree program at Redeemer University, offered as an honours major, a major, and a minor. Coursework covers calculus, linear algebra, discrete mathematics, multivariable calculus, differential equations, statistics, numerical analysis, modern geometry, and abstract algebra. The program develops students' ability to identify, represent, apply, and verify numerical and spatial patterns. Students build a foundation in both pure and applied mathematics that supports further study or careers requiring quantitative and analytical skills. Modern Geometry serves as the department's required capstone course for majors in their third or fourth year, and honours students complete an Honours Research Project, with some students co-authoring articles with faculty in mathematics journals. Admission requires Grade 12 U Calculus and Vectors, with Grade 12 U Data Management or Geometry recommended, in addition to standard Ontario secondary-school entry requirements.
