Leadership: Master of Arts (MA)

Admission Requirements: Standard admission requires a four-year (or comparable) undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a minimum GPA of B+ (3.33/4.33) and normally at least five years of leadership experience (five years of healthcare leadership for the Health specialization, or five years including three as a designated organizational leader for the Executive Leadership specialization); emerging leaders with at least two years in a recent leadership role may also apply if they demonstrate exceptional potential. Applicants below the GPA threshold, or away from academic writing for ten or more years, must complete the Academic Writing and Critical Thinking course. Flexible admission requires at least 10 years of professional experience including five years of leadership experience, plus the same writing-course requirement. The programme page defers to Royal Roads' institution-wide English language proficiency requirements for applicants whose first language is not English: for graduate programs, IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with a minimum 6.5 in writing and speaking and 6.0 in listening and reading, or TOEFL iBT 88 overall with a minimum 24 in writing and 20 in listening, reading and speaking.
