This post-diploma certificate, running one to one-and-a-half years and offered in person at SAIT's Main Campus or online, is designed for individuals with related post-secondary studies or work experience in information technology, instrumentation, or a related technical discipline. Coursework covers securing digital control systems across industrial environments, including drilling and well sites, power plants and grids, water treatment plants, manufacturing facilities, telecommunications networks, and hospitals, and addresses the added cyber security risk created as these systems shift from analog to digital. Students study risk management principles applicable across industries, with a focus on the safety, reliability, security, and resilience of control systems. Graduates are prepared to challenge the CompTIA Security+ certification exam. The program accepts international applicants and currently meets Post-Graduation Work Permit eligibility requirements, offered as a stand-alone program or bundled with another program for international students.
