PGDip in Agribusiness Risk and Insurance Management

Agribusiness Risk and Insurance Management is a 64-week post-graduate diploma at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, delivered at the Moose Jaw campus, covering the role of risk management and insurance in supporting the agriculture and agrifood industry. Coursework covers agribusiness economics and financial management, commercial, property, and liability insurance, fundamental principles of risk management and insurance, leadership, client relations and change management, and risk assessment and mitigation strategies. Graduates earn the Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation and receive four credits toward the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation. Graduates are prepared for roles such as agribusiness risk analyst, agricultural insurance broker, claims adjuster, financial risk consultant, insurance underwriter, loss prevention specialist, and risk and compliance officer, working in insurance firms, agribusiness corporations, financial institutions, government agencies, and risk consulting firms. Admission requires a conferred bachelor's degree in any discipline, along with Saskatchewan Polytechnic's English Language Requirement.
