Cert in Accounting

This certificate program provides practical training in accounting, covering accounts receivable and payable, partnership accounting, accounting software, bookkeeping, auditing, finance, taxation, and payroll, with coursework aligned to professional accounting designation requirements through hands-on exercises and projects that emphasize practical application. It is delivered on a course-by-course basis through the Centre for Continuing Education, with evening and Saturday classes on campus as well as distance education online, letting students build the certificate around work and other commitments. There is no formal application or admission assessment; students register directly for individual courses as they become available, and course availability and start terms vary by term. A cumulative grade point average of 60% is required to graduate, and students have up to four years to complete all certificate requirements.
