Overview
The Artificial Intelligence and Innovation program is a two-year, four-semester post-graduate diploma at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, delivered full-time at the Saskatoon campus over 64 weeks, starting each September. Coursework covers emerging technologies, machine learning, prompt engineering, business intelligence, human-computer interaction, IT ethics and governance, the Internet of Things and cloud infrastructure, enterprise data architecture, and applying AI and APIs to business applications, alongside business skills such as business mathematics, communication, leadership, cost management, change management and entrepreneurship. The program offers an optional co-operative education placement, with a co-op concentration that adds two work terms alongside the academic semesters. Admission requires a conferred bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum GPA of 60%, plus Saskatchewan Polytechnic's English Language Requirement; a background in Information Technology or Statistics/Mathematics is recommended. The program is bring-your-own-device. Graduates are prepared for roles such as business systems analyst, data scientist and IT consultant.
