Overview

The one-year certificate builds the fundamental knowledge needed for further study in health sciences, covering human anatomy and physiology, biology, organic and inorganic chemistry, mathematics, verbal and written communication, and computer use within health sciences settings. Credits earned may also transfer into other post-secondary programs.

Admission Requirements: Admission requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, or mature student status; the programme page states no additional course or grade prerequisite, and notes that successful completion of this pathway certificate does not guarantee entry into any specific advanced diploma or degree program. English-proficiency for applicants educated outside Canada or in a language other than English is deferred to the college's international admission requirements: IELTS Academic 6.0 (no band below 5.5), TOEFL iBT 79-80 (no section below 20), PTE Academic 60 (no band below 52), or Duolingo 110 (no band below 105), valid within two years of program start. No portfolio or interview is required.
