Digital Arts Diploma

Admission Requirements: Beyond Selkirk College's general admission requirements, this diploma requires English 12 at a minimum of 60%, an applicant information questionnaire, and a portfolio that is central to the admission decision; no IELTS, TOEFL or other English-proficiency score is published. The portfolio must show at least ten pieces spanning both traditional and digital art, with digital work produced in Adobe Creative Cloud tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator or Premiere or similar software; reviewers assess visual awareness, creativity and technical skill, and work copied from other artists results in automatic rejection. Applicants are encouraged to show development over time or organize pieces by medium, to explain why each piece was included, and may optionally add sketchbook excerpts or school assignments. Some applicants may also be asked to interview with a program instructor or the School Chair. The diploma runs a single Fall intake, with applications for the following Fall opening on October 1 the year before.
