Overview
This program includes a mandatory co-op work term to provide you with valuable hands-on experience in your field of study. A mandatory co-op is typically a paid position that is completed between two academic semesters. It is similar in length to an academic semester and requires a minimum of 420 hours of work experience. Students must be in good standing and meet all identified requirements prior to participating in the work experience. Successful completion of the co-op work term(s) is required for graduation.

Admission Requirements: Domestic entry requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, or mature-applicant status, with six Grade 12 U or M courses averaging at least 65% overall, including Grade 12 English (ENG4U) and any two Grade 12 U mathematics courses (MDM4U and MHF4U recommended), each at a minimum of 65%; Seneca offers free upgrading for applicants short of English, math or other subject requirements. Graduates of Seneca's Computer Programming & Analysis diploma with a GPA of 65% or higher qualify for advanced entry into the degree. English proficiency for international applicants follows Seneca's institution-wide standard for degree programs (senecapolytechnic.ca English requirements page): IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT with no skill score below 21, PTE Academic 60, Duolingo 115-120, or CAEL 70 with writing at least 60; domestic applicants meeting the Grade 12 English prerequisite are not asked for a formal test. International applicants may also be asked for further documents on a country-specific basis.
