Overview
Four-year honours degree at Newnham Campus delivering industry-driven training in modern software development, spanning programming languages, mobile app development, cloud computing, enterprise system design, operating systems, information security, artificial intelligence and UI/UX design alongside business concepts. Two mandatory co-op work terms of at least 420 hours connect coursework to industry practice. Graduates work as software engineers, mobile developers, systems analysts and cloud services specialists, with pathways to master's-level study.

Admission Requirements: Domestic entry requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, or mature-applicant status, with six Grade 12 U or M courses averaging at least 65% overall, including Grade 12 English (ENG4U) and any Grade 12 U mathematics course, each at a minimum of 65%; Seneca offers free upgrading for applicants short of either subject. Graduates of Computer Programming and Analysis, or Computer Programming, from Seneca or Humber College, with a GPA of 65% or higher qualify for advanced entry into the degree. English proficiency for international applicants follows Seneca's institution-wide standard for degree programs (senecapolytechnic.ca English requirements page): IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT with no skill score below 21, PTE Academic 60, Duolingo 115-120, or CAEL 70 with writing at least 60; domestic applicants meeting the Grade 12 English prerequisite are not asked for a formal test. No portfolio, interview or work-experience requirement is stated; international applicants may also be asked for further documents on a country-specific basis.
