Program details

Overview

This two-year diploma pairs practical cosmetic coursework with business knowledge and entrepreneurship training. Subjects include advanced makeup application, product knowledge and skin analysis, taught alongside customer service, management and marketing classes, combining hands-on technique with the business grounding needed to operate within the beauty industry.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Admission requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or assessment as a mature applicant (19 by the first day of classes, which waives the OSSD but not the program's subject prerequisites). Subject prerequisites: English at Grade 12 C or U level, or an equivalent course. Canadian citizens and permanent residents may satisfy the English prerequisite(s) by passing Seneca's pre-admission test instead of holding the course, and applicants short of the academic subject requirements can pursue Seneca's recommended upgrading. All international applicants must meet Seneca's published English-language requirements; neither this program's page nor Seneca's general English-proficiency page states a specific test score for this program, and international applicants may be asked for additional documents or assessments on request. The page also recommends senior mathematics and business coursework, though it states these are not required for admission.
