Business Information Technology is a four-semester (16-month) Ontario College Graduate Certificate at Seneca Polytechnic. It is designed for university or college graduates who want to build applied information technology skills, teaching students to analyze business requirements and to design, develop and implement cloud-based information systems using programming languages, databases and other enterprise data sources. Instruction follows Seneca's hybrid delivery format, with some coursework online and some completed in person. Students complete an enterprise project that applies course skills to a real business problem, and may add an optional co-op work term (program code BTTC) for paid, program-related work experience. Intakes run in September, January and May. Admission requires an Ontario university or college degree, diploma or advanced diploma, or an equivalent combination of partial postsecondary study and related work experience, supported by a resumé and references. International applicants must also meet Seneca's English-language proficiency requirements for graduate certificate programs, and may be asked for additional documents or assessments.
