The Graduate Certificate in Performance Choral Conducting, offered by McGill's Schulich School of Music, is a course-based program focused on advanced, hands-on training in choral conducting. The curriculum is designed for choral conductors seeking to refine their technical, pedagogical, and musical skills while continuing their professional activities. Learning activities include group tutorial instruction, concentrated podium time, interaction with established conductors, score study, and development of rehearsal technique. Students have access to the Marvin Duchow Performance Library and opportunities to observe rehearsal practices of major Montreal ensembles, including the Montreal Symphony Orchestra. The Schulich School of Music houses multiple performance spaces, research and production laboratories, two libraries, and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Music Media and Technology (CIRMMT), an inter-institutional research centre with six dedicated research labs.
