Computer Engineering Technology is a three-year Ontario College Advanced Diploma at Sheridan College that builds on the two-year Computer Engineering Technician diploma by teaching students to integrate software and hardware components. Students learn to design, build, test, implement and maintain embedded devices, computer applications and network systems. The program includes a third-year capstone project showcased to industry, and an optional three-term co-op placement that can lead to a full year of work experience before graduation. Graduates complete all academic requirements for professional certification with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists, and may transfer into the third year of degree programs at Sheridan or other universities, with some bridge courses required. The program is delivered on Sheridan's Trafalgar Campus, preparing graduates for technologist roles spanning both the software and hardware sides of computer engineering.
