At Sheridan College in Oakville, Canada, Honours Bachelor of Computer Science is offered as a honours degree in Computer Sciences programme. The programme runs for 4 years, delivered on campus. Tuition for international students is CAD 23,010 per year (CAD 8,488 per year for local students).
The Honours Bachelor of Computer Science is a four-year honours baccalaureate degree offered at Sheridan College's Trafalgar Campus in Oakville. More than 80 percent of the curriculum consists of core computer science courses covering programming, networks, mathematics, scripting and database modelling, providing a foundation before students choose a specialization in cloud computing, data analytics, data engineering, game engineering or artificial intelligence, introduced in first year and developed through eight further courses in the chosen area. Between years three and four, students can pursue a four-month internship or a paid co-op placement of up to sixteen months with industry partners, and may also contribute to Sheridan's applied research projects. In the final year, students choose between a capstone project, typically developed with an external client or partner, and a thesis research project aimed at those planning graduate study. The program shares core courses with Sheridan's separate Honours Bachelor of Computer Science (Mobile Computing) degree, allowing students to change between the two after two years by making up two courses. It suits students who want a broad computer science foundation together with the option to specialize in a growing technical area of their choice.
