At Sheridan College in Oakville, Canada, Honours Bachelor of Applied Computer Science (Mobile Computing) is offered as a honours degree in Computer Sciences programme. The programme runs for 4 years, delivered on campus. Tuition for international students is CAD 21,471 per year (CAD 8,565 per year for local students).
The Honours Bachelor of Computer Science (Mobile Computing) is a four-year honours baccalaureate degree offered at Sheridan College's Trafalgar Campus in Oakville. The curriculum covers core computer science areas such as operating systems and computer architecture alongside specialized courses in mobile application development, software engineering and wireless networking, with programming taught across languages including C#, C++, Java, Swift, Python and JavaScript. The eight-semester program includes three co-op semesters, giving students up to twelve months of industry experience by graduation, supported by opportunities to conduct applied research at Sheridan's Centre for Applied AI, which uses mobile and related technologies on health-care-focused projects. In the final year, students choose between a capstone project or a thesis, depending on whether they intend to enter the workforce directly or pursue graduate study; the program has agreements with eighteen universities, including eight in Ontario, for further study pathways. It shares core courses with Sheridan's separate Honours Bachelor of Computer Science degree, allowing a change of program after two years by making up two courses. It suits students who want a mobile- and wireless-focused computer science degree with substantial co-op experience built into the curriculum.
